Dude! You're not supposed to look at the price when you go boating! Sheesh man... the wife hears that and I'll be home pulling weeds or painting the fences.
They say the two happiest days of a boat owners life is the day he buys it and the day he sells it. Not much of a boating environment here in NM unless your willing to drive.
I'm getting reps galore, but I don't know how to rep without a post - so I have to go on safari for posts from the reppers! Agh! My penance for my shortage of meekness.
Don't worry about it. One member a while back just inquired about what the "little green chiclets" (as she put it) meant and why some people had more than others. She wanted to know how to get more.
Next thing she knew, the members here had her rep meter pegged, lol....
We should own stock in West Marine! Rarely is there a trip to the boat without a "honey, _____ went out again, I'll be right back"
I've been doing several small winter projects on the boat, each one usually well under $100. Wife gets in front of me last night and asks "When will this spending on the boat end?"
I looked at her.
I looked at her again.
Looked one more time and smiled a bit and said "Soon..."
She asks "What does that mean?"
I reply "Well, I am getting older and won't live forever, there is an end in sight."
I did assure her that I'm pretty much done with those projects, for this season. Well, mostly done... UPS brings a box today. Then FedEx is due on Thursday. I think Amazon arrives Friday. Then I'll be done for the week.

Its a good idea! I mean both the picture and the "shameless rep exchange".
I wish I had a BucksZooka! It comes preloaded right?
As for the reps I really need to up my green meter! Dang, I mean I've only been here for SEVEN years!!!! lol

All of my friends that DON'T own boats like to say this......I on the other hand, use my boats like crazy. I just sold one, and bought another. It was sorta sad watching the old one pull away, but I definitely UP-graded with the new one. Boats come and go.....but time spent with friends and family on the lake is priceless

Imagine having all your money back from the expenditures on boating and the truck. Then what? I'd buy a diesel and a boat with the savings.

1 sail boat, 2 kayaks, and 4 proper river rafts here. I can load 'em all at the same time (with all 4 ice chests) and host a big water party. It's great having a real truck.

I have 2 generations of boaters behind me, but one generation doesn't know it yet. Those grandkids are going to learn what real fun is, and I'm going to have big fun teaching them.

Ain't that the truth...

Not so much for me. Three happy days, the day I get my new boat, the day I sell my not so old boat and the day my next new boat arrives.
