My rear bumper is the same way, bent up in one corner.. I later bent the end of my bed panel and it sorta looks like they both happened at the same time, but they didn't.. but i dunno how many of these bumpers I've seen bent up in a corner, there use to be an old thread somewhere where people thought they were warping over time that it's so common.
Oh, by the way, my 1986 front bumper was made in Canada, I have a lot of "made in Mexico" and "made in Canada" parts on my truck and it's a 1990.. it's sad but I'd rather see Canada/Mexico than China, at least our south and north of the border neighbors throw some of the money back into our economy dangit!
And for the tax dollar comment? man, Ford was the only one who didn't ask for or receive any bail-out money!
My rear has a bend in it but i am not sure what it is from, i know for sure it isn't anything from a rock or stump or anything, it almost looks like the PO did it to try raising the rear bumper to match the bod lift. I wish i had the set style ones on the back then a bigger flat step one on the front so i could get into the engine bay better and i could mount a winch.
