Keyless entry pad not working.
Hi all I'm new here so be gentle. Not sure if I'm posting in right area but here goes. I have a 2008 F450 with the factory keyless entry pad on drivers door. It quit working, the 7\8 light was not lighting so on advise from an older post I removed the pad from the door, disconnected the power plug and disassembled the unit on the work bench. Cleaned the circuit board of slight corrosion on contacts then used compressed air to clean unit. Looks like new in there now. Reassembled and reinstalled unit, lights now function when pressing key pad but the locks still do not work.
So my question is: since I disconnected the power does this need to be reactivated in the computer or something by dealer??? Thanks All John.

I do not have my manual in front of me, but if I recall any owner set keyless number is lost if power is disconnected and must be reset. If you have the factory setting, try that. If you do not have the factory setting, ask the dealer.
