Keyless entry

I'm new to this forum so excuse me if I'm in the wrong area. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to add a factory keyless entry system to a truck that has power locks? Could I just buy the reciever module and remote, or is a specal harness required?

The truck is a 1997 F350

Thanks in advance.

Keyless entry

Ford vehicles with factory keyless entry use different switches in the doors then vehicles that have power door locks and no keyless entry. It would be easier to add an aftermarket keyless entry to your truck. Most aftermarket keyless entry systems are also alarm/anti-theft systems.

Does anyone know what would be involved if someone was set on installing a factory system to a truck not originally equiped?
