Well, I'm just brain building now, so I thought I'd pick Alan's brain on paint if he doesn't mind playing along. Did some reading on Summit Paint on the jeep forum. Seems like it sprays ok, at least for jeep novices.
So, is this type of paint worth screwing with? Remember, this would be on a jeep that will be driven off road and quite possibly quite dirty at times. This will also be my first attempt at painting a vehicle, and probably my last. It does not and will never be show quality.
I've never used "Summit" paint before, but it looks alot like Eastwood paint. I did that '57 Chevy 2 door wagon with that last year. Man that paint sucks. Yeah, it's cheap, but you get what you pay for. Honestly, I'd rather use farm and implement paint from tractor supply before I had to deal with that nightmare again. PPG has a cheaper line called Service Line. It's very good quality paint and is about half the cost of PPG's normal line.
