Your trailer sits lower to the ground, so you should be better off. I do have a cap on that truck, I don't know if that helps or not
I don't have a cap but eventually plan to put some type of tonneau in the truck. Lower? Probably since its a car trailer I'm slowly converting to my toy hauler.
Yeah, car trailers sit lower than travel trailers, so you have a little less wind drag.
I was a bit worried about going up and down the mountains but you're sure making me feel better about towing with this truck. I plan to tow to hatfield & McCoy on wva/Kentucky border
Should be fine. take your time until you get used to it
You have a very nice looking trailer! I've towed quite a bit in the past and not sure if you remember my conversation about the "Surge" brakes, however, I found a sway/weight distribution setup that I can run with it and still be very safe. That is, until I convert this trailer either to just electric brakes or hydraulic over electric --- haven't made my mind up yet and finances don't allow me to change yet.
No more vibrations, hubs are fixed and most of the other items are fixed now. Turns out one of the axles were really bad (drivers side) along with the hub and bearing. On the passenger side the passenger bearing was shot. All replaced now and the truck runs / drives as it should. I can cruise without hearing the front driveshaft howling at the moom LOL.
........ now on to the oil leak, find a cheap roll-up tonneau, and considering a 5th wheel in case I need to tow like that.
