hey matt how you doin man?you about done with school?you and your dad get that car done yet?
Yeah, I graduate with my engineering degree this May. The mustang's sitting in my garage in Pullman. It's not a father-son project, it's just a rusty old car that sits in my garage is all. Hahaha.
I've got a 5 speed manual transmission sitting on the floor next to it. Some day.
I've been out of the loop for a while now since going back to school.
I've been attending class 5 days a week for an industrial automation course. Right now I'm half way through the core program and next year gets into 3 phase motor controllers, programmable logic controllers, assembly robots, fluid control systems, etc.
Tonight was the first time I've driven my truck in months. The last exam came back better than my average so I went snow boarding. My electric car is my current daily driver, and I'll probably let the insurance on the truck run out when its due next month. Might just be the excuse I need to start replacing sheet metal on it. Sure does drive nice even after sitting all winter.

What kind of electric car do you have? I had a 1981 Jet Electrica 007 about 10 years ago, but I never got it on the road. I had a job 3 miles from home when I got the car, got laid off, and my next job was 23 miles away on hilly highways. For that commute, I would have ticked off a lot of people going 30mph uphill like the big rigs! Probably would have had issues getting all the way to work on one charge in the winter as well.
I've still got that same commute, and would love to have a Nissan Leaf as it would work perfectly for me, but there is no way I will ever spend that much on a car.
I converted mine in our shop in-between railing jobs over the last few years. And I thought the E4OD upgrade was in over my head
Its lighter than a Nissan Leaf at 3000lbs, and has a larger capacity battery (30.7kwh). I did 100 miles with it but only once. I want to repeat that drive, but haven't got around to it yet.
Yes, I realize its a saturn, but it was cheap, light, reasonably streamlined, had manual steering, and not [very] rusty.
Hey guys got my self a 86' 6.9l single cab, solid frame, rough body, nothing some bondo and chicken wire cant fix. does not run currently, gotta wait to get paid to get the ball rolling, snagged it for 1250 though so i cant complain, also came with original 1986 ford body, engine ect, and maintenance books. There older then I am lol. Worst part about this truck is once again, i have to do o-rings and return lines and....an exhaust job....
Took my 3 hours to cut them old exhaust of my 85 dually 6.9l not looking forward to this one.
Been doing some fishin at the local lake, nothing special just some bass and sunnys. Also writing some software that will help me out with databaseing and data relocation from old databases. learning ASM, and working on a my truck, thats about it!
