Power fold & telescopic mirror

Has anyone replaced their right hand power telescope and fold mirror with a new factory part is it a easy job? My 2009 F-350 KR has a damaged fold stop in it and will not stop at the right location just keeps going forward, Ford dealer refusing warranty I did hit the mirror very gently on a post and folded it forward which manual states can me done manually, absolutely no exterior damage but they claim Ford will not cover as it is "Broken" No question that it is broken internally and that is my point, told the service manager that I will bring the truck down on a -30 morning and he can try to fold the good side manually to see if the plastic inside breaks, he won't do it. The replacement mirror is not cheap.

if it like the mirrors on my excursion, it's a 15 minute job...
pull the cover, unscrew a few bolts and unplug the cable....

here's one easily found writeup:

I'm not so mechanically inclined when dealing with such an expensive part and opted to have my local body shop replace my last broken passenger side mirror. unfortunately, i didn't "gently" hit a post...I clobbered a ups delivery man who stepped right in front of me. he was not badly hurt but i bet he wishes i had the dog ear mirrors my drivers side has a bad stop due to the car wash kid cranking it back before i had a chance to use the power feature. it was very cold that day and i heard the plastic give. i've just been dealing with it as it only folds under high speed.

Its a pretty easy swap. Just don't loose the retaining nuts down the door panel. Simple electrical connector.
