I am getting ready to find me another travel trailer so I checcked JC Whitney to look at getting an RAS. While I was there I saw where the people that purchased the RAS also purchased or looked at the super springs SuperSprings Self-Adjusting Suspension Stabilizers . I have the helwig sway bar and with mine being 2wd I really could not tell a big difference on the ssway after installing it other than when leaving a parking lot turning onto the main road it almost bounces me and my wife out of the seat. Has anybody tried the supersprings? I know there are alot of spring swaps going on and am curious if this maybe be an option other than the Hellwig or just go with the RAS. thanks!

The SuperSprings is, IMO a much better product than the RAS. However, with that said, it is not available for the Excursion. When the Excursions first came out SuperSpring had a spring made for the Ex, but the problem was the rear A/C lines run just above the rear leaf springs. As such, many people were damaing their rear A/C, so SuperSprings stopped making them for the Ex. That is why most people now use RAS.
I recently tried buying my RAS from JCWhitney, they jerked me around for a week trying to find a vendor that would supply them the RAS to then sell it to me for the teaser price they offered me when I ordered it. Finally got an email from them stating they were out of stock (not like they ever did have it in stock). I wound up emailing the manufacturer RAS directly and they had it to me the very next day after the ran my credit card. Also, it was the latest model, not last year's product. They improved the RAS. Made it easier to install and even better quality. No more than 30 minutes tops. Just sharing my recent experience for what it's worth. Curious if JCWhitney does the same by you.
If you guys are looking for RAS, why not support our forum sponsor? Clay at Riffraff usually has them in stock and he has the latest version not some old one that has been on a shelf for 3 years. Riffraff Diesel:
I've had both the "older" version of RAS and the "latest" version on my EX and it was one of the better upgrades I did. They Guys at RoadMaster have exceptional Customer Support and offered me a great deal when i upgraded.
I was unaware that Clay could get them as well but buying from the Forum supporting Vendors is always a good thing if the price is right.
The other good upgrade was the Hellwig rear Sway bar (but I do have a 4WD). Made a huge difference when towing the TT as well as on the TX freeways in the unbanked "Big Sweeping" turns at speed w/o TT.

Yep, we have over 10 sets in stock currently and I think they are going to be on our next sale sheet as well.

RiffRaff do you have any extra long ones that would work with my BDS 8" lift?
I'd love to have RAS... but I am miles away from stock.
I can take measurements if you need.
My question now is can I dump the hellwig and just run the RAS. My ex is 2wd and the RAS is supposed to eliminate body roll like the hellwig. I do not remember having body roll before the hellwig. I do know that leaving parking lots and turning on the highway about bounces me out of my seat.

Is the Helwig the same for the 2wd and 4wd? If it is and you are looking to dump it, I'll take it off you hands.
