Oil leak guide in tech folder
I have a small oil leak and I pulled the list of possible oil leaks to go through this weekend, but I'd thought I give the more specifics so I may get some guidance to narrow it down.
The oil leak only drips once or twice 4-5 hours after sitting if I drive it around town a little. Then it stops
I drove it to work on Monday (100 miles round trip) and when I parked it at home, 4-5 hours later I had 6-7 drips. Then it stops.
The truck sat for a week while waiting on the FICM and not a single drop.
Does this rule out any of the ones on the list?
The leak is dropping right off the bell housing of the tranny, right behind the oil pan. I can see oil on the passenger side (I'm assuming tranny lines) and a little farther up.
