Sorry. Don't know why it posted twice. And I'm not able to figure out how to delete one of them..
That's OK. I didn't mind seeing your nice truck twice!
Do you still have the original racks? They are just like what I posted from the Dealer Handbook. Are still in good shape? Do you ever interchange them?
Oh great! I see the original ones and think they would look cool on my truck on occasion.
Then I could have three options: utility, canopy, original stake side.

That's great. This reminds me of a suit I bought after I graduated from college and I finally had had some expendable cash. I bought a suit that came with a blue jacket, blue pants, small checked pants and a reversible vest, blue on one side, small checks on the other. The ad about this combo said this suit gives you 89 different combinations of options. I thought I was pretty cool. But after a few years of marriage my wife who has better taste than me made me give it to the Salvation Army Thrift store.
Joe, if you are serious about making racks for your flatbed I can give you apecs on the boards you would need.
Abe, do you have specs for an 8 foot bed?
It would be cool, but remember I am charter member of the procrastinators club.
The hardware could add up in price pretty quickly as well.

Ford made a 6½' bed for F100's, a 7½' bed for F250's and 9' for F350's. The specs are posted above. But your bed is home made, or school shop made, so it depends where your stake pockets are....
They should be standard for the 7 1/2' bed. I bought the side rails from fleming metal. I need to double check the size though....yeah I think I had to put 2X4X8 boards at an angle to get them to fit. https://flemingmetal.com/truck-body-...k-pocket-rails
It's been a while but I think I have this layout. I will need to go out and check.
I looked at Fleming Metal and was ready to buy with our Ag boys making me a bed but just in the nick of time I found that 55 F600 with a 9' bed in great shape back in 2022.
