Im thinking about the exhaust on my 2000 f250 5.4L alot lately. It has many leaks haven't looked into where though. Someone has cut off the tail pipe. Basically the exhaust ends half way under my truck box.
Should I just buy a bunch of stright pipe and take it to a shop and get them to bend and install or???
You are not going to save yourself any money by buying your own pipe. Get an estimate from a muffler shop. If you want to be really savvy, get three estimates, then go with the middle bidder.
My buddy bought the pipe took it to the shop and he claims it was super cheap. Monday Im going to get a couple quotes then after that measure my exhaust to see how much I would require then go to the shop my buddy went to & see what they say.

If you can weld and have knowledge of taking measurements buying your own universal dual exhaust kit is ten times cheaper than having someone do it. A local exhaust ship in my area that does mandrel bend (only shop I know of within thirty miles) charges 400-500 for a cat back exhaust system. I'm about to do my 5.4 powered f350 again with a true dual setup and buying a complete universal kit with two cherry bomb type mufflers only cost me $280. And since I can weld etc it will take me maybe half a Saturday to have it ran under the truck and out exactly how I want it with no " o I couldn't get it to run that way" excuses
