Well the price of Diesel hit $4.70 a Gallon here (Healy, AK) last week. So I guess the truck will only be used as a Truck until the price goes down a little.
Just complaining.
I never did get any of this... Diesel is the lowest form of refined fuel, and yet it continues to hold the highest price. The government just opened up a pot load of new drilling permits for fuel in Wy and ND. Apparently there is more crude oil in the northern states then in Iraq and Iran, and yet we still inflate the prices... Sheesh
Chris, they're drilling like mad in NW North Dakota. Still hard to get a hotel room in Minot. Don't forget southern Manitoba and Saskatchewan as well. Everyone knows of the oil sands in Alberta, but there's a lot of wells out there too.
Did you know that our oil companys are selling oil to china,i didnt until the other day,i also understand the big trucking companys never have to pay over 1.25cents per gallon.

I bought a new SD in '04, gasoline was $1.98 and diesel fuel was $1.68. I was a happy man. Didn't take long for that to change! I don't understand it either being that diesel is more or less a waste product of the refining process of gas! There is no way they can justify any of to me because from the time all this started the major oil companies are reporting record profits!!
Kinda makes you feel like somebody is pissin down your back and tellin you it's raining.

First part is true and they have for a while... The trucking companies pretty much pay the same as us. Some will lock in pricing via contract for a set period of time, but it's normally not significantly less than what we see at the pump.
