I recall my service advisor telling me when I picked up the truck that this test would have to be done, but had forgotten the mileage. Happy to hear there is a warning for it......................

.............and you would trust them .... Not me. My experience has been very negative with those places. Example: I put in a new fuel filter on a '96 Taurus. 3 weeks later I am on an extended business trip. Wife takes car to Jiffy Lube. Guy tells her the fuel filter is very dirty and needs to be replaced. Keep in mind.... Filter is in line, and is a steel cyl. Can't see in it. the metal is new looking. Crook !!
When you are referring to 2 cooling systems please tell me what and where. I added additive to the radiator and the plastic collection container? have I hit both systems?
Nope. You have two seperate systems. so you have to test both systems and add the additive to the ones that fail. Look under your hood you will see two seperate fill locations
You have the engine cooling system, called the primary or high temperature cooling system
and the Powertrain secondary cooling system, a low temperature system which cools the CAC, Fuel cooler, EGR and transmission oil cooler.
Both cooling systems have their own radiator, belt-driven coolant pump, thermostats and degas bottle.
Look on Pages 23-31 of the Ford 6.7L Coffee Table book for descriptions, photos and details of how they work.

1) what is a CAC ?
2) what is a "coffee Table book"
The 6.7L Coffee Table book is a good read for anybody wanting to know more about how their engines work. If you ever have any problems or need to trouble shoot. It at least tells you what every component is and where it is located.
ruschejj.....Painted Horse......darren......cosninocanines
All 4 of ya gave some good information .... Thank You
You Know..... That is one of the Great things about this Web-Site
I would appreciate an easier to comprehend instructions with the test strips. Instructions must have been printed in China.
LOL, that is very true. After reading the instructions it seem very confusing and you have no idea what you are supposed to do. But stumble thru it one time with the instructions and you will not need them anymore. It is really simple.
