VSM??? I Think So!?
I just bought a 2002 F350 CC LB XLT Lariat 4x4 V10 6SPD last tuesday with 156K on it. I have done all of the major services on eng., trans., etc., now I am focusing on some of the electrical gremlins. I just ordered new door switches, lock actuators, and a new power lock switch, but I now think the problem may be the VSM after doing some more research. What is not currently working is the power locks at all, keyless entry (will only turn on interior light when button is pushed, no panic button response or horn honk after pushing the lock button), after cleaning and oiling the door latches 4or5 times I finally got a door ajar light on the dash, but no dome light when any of the doors are opened. The radio and dome light stay on after the truck is shut off and have to time out to go off.
I am going to install what I have already bought and go from there. I just wanted some input on whether the VSM is bad as well.

So here is an update. I installed the new doorlock actuators, door switches, DS lock button, did a reset. Still no power locks, dome lights while opening doors, no keyless entry, and still have a door ajar light. What I did gain was an annoying dinger when I shut the truck off and the headlights are on and key in the ignition. It thinks that I have a door open still. I think that taking it to ford is the next step. I can get the new vsm at shop cost since I have an account there, but the install and programming was quoted around $150.
