I was thinking there was a tool that would release the clips on the underside of the trim without breaking them. Not sure where I thought I saw that, though. It would be nice to know since I would like to save the windshield trim off the parts truck before I scrap what's left this spring.

When I did my rust repair I went to the glass shop asked to have the trim and clips removed, which I saved. I then did the rust repair. Since the window was cracked and chiped anyway I had it replaced. They can put a rust primer on your window frame where you were not able to before they put the window back in.
