shifting in and out of O.D. (e4od trans)

can anyone help me on figuring out why my truck shifts perfect until it gets into overdrive, then it starts shifting in and out of o.d. like its going into passing gear. i have replaced the speed sensor on the rear end housing, replaces the solenoid pack. also my speedo jumps everywhere at any speed. thanks for any help on this.

The speedo is probably the cause. You'll need to fix that.

Thanks for the quick reply Ill check that. Would it get desturbed doing the brakes? We had the axels out and both rotors and calipers took the bearings out and lubed them and cleaned them and put it all back together.

Duke, the speed sensor reads its information off of the tone ring in the rear end, I think thats the way it works.

Mike is to fast for me!
