1966 289ci modification question

1966 289ci modification question

This engine is a 2bbl. If I understand correctly, the 289 2bbl has dished pistons and the 289 4bbl has flat-top pistons. Will there be a clearance problem if dished pistons in this motor are replaced with the 4bbl flat-top pistons?

Ask in the specific small block forum
289s were never installed in f series trucks, so unless someone has specifically installed one it will be tough to pull an answer from here
