Now that makes some sense. I went so far as to replace my torch head because I knew at least 3 of my cylinders were leaking (so I blamed it on the head). This has been going on a long time and that recall is going to be costly. Pretty cool, got at least a half dozen that I'll swap for new ones after emptying. Thanks for the info and safety heads up.
if i find a leaking cyl i have a few xtra torch heads and burner heads that i put on them and use them up as needed . i use a sharpie to id a leaker on the side of it so i know not to disconnect it till empty
Thanks for the tip. I emptied the last half of my bottle; it took hours. Then i took it to Lowes, with a copy of the recall notice. They had not heard of the recall or had anyone come in for the recall yet. I was the first. That's kinda scary. Seems that this whole thing is being kept kinda quiet. Just imagine how many leaky cylinders may be out there. Winter is coming and garage heaters will be in use......
