We up here see this on tv and send our best well wishes to everyone in the path of destruction. We are pretty fortunate up here that all we get is the occasional dust devil.
Glad to se all of you folks checking in - Went thru some big ones in SW Ohio when I was at WPAFB - There is really nothing to compare to an EF 4 tornado - Stuff was there then it was gone
If you don't have a weather radio, this past week should make you hustle your buns to the electronics store
My wife Linda ask me last night what I was reading on here and of course I was on this thread and showed it to her. She asked me how many of you guys I had actually met that was concerned about us. She said it was really something that so many folks were concerned and had never met, then she said that she NOW sees why I am on this site so much. She just couldn't believe that people you don't really know and that live so far away would start a thread just to see if all were OK. I TOLD HER SHE JUST DIDN'T UNDERSTAND--------------IT'S A GUY THING---------------
Gary... don't know if it's a guy thing or not... I think it just shows the quality of the people that frequent this forum. Personal experience might make me bias but I truly don't thing there are people here who just look at this place as somewhere to get information. We be family and family shows concern and caring for one another.
You're hanging out with a classy crown Gary. Tell Linda how lucky she is to have a classy guy messing up the house for her !
Guess I am a bit late checking in but we're OK. We are probably thirty miles across the valley from harleymsn and experienced a similar light show, a couple inches of rain and lots of wind. No property damage, no hail. I had one big tree down across the road coming into my place and quite a few down on the ridge behind the house. Next year's firewood.
Unfortunately, within a few miles of us there are quite a few with extensive damage.
