part #D5AZ12A199C
is the # on my module. but, the one i have, has 3 wires to one connecter and 4 wires to the other.
I ordered from napa and the one they gave me has 2 and 4 wires,vs. my 3 and 4....i thought maybe they were interchangeable?
Ford themselves dont have an answer for me.
Everything i look at online has the 2 and 4wiring scheme as well.
STUMPED for now
help?
Its for a 1975 f150 with 390 and 4bbl.
thanks
The '75 is a one year only module, green grommet with 7 wires, all of the aftermarket replacement modules have eliminated the 7th wire, the blue wire to be exact.
this issue had me stumped when my module gave up the ghost, i went through no less than three different modules, all different brands, from different stores, all with the very same results, no start.
it wasn't until i sourced a NOS module with the blue wire still intact that my issue was resolved.
Here is the blue module. As long as you follow the pins instead of colors, the blue module should work no problem. Every vehicle I upgrade, I use the blue module. Most modules will come with a red and white input wire. Red to run. white to start.
