Engine Cover
This may be an odd question, but does anybody know why they've started putting plastic covers/shields/shrouds over engines? I really can't see much of my Ecoboost engine.

I thought the covers might be to keep things cleaner and drier. They do make a neat-looking package.

That sounds very logical, but they don't have to worry about me. The engines are so complicated now that there's very little I could do to one.
