Hi:

I've been searching a TB cover for my 5.4L SOHC navigator, but i found two differents types.

Ones with a kind of type sticker with red letters (5.4L) and the other totally black with the numbers grooved in the plastic.

Anyone now if both cover fits in a 99 5.4L SOHC engine? May be ones is for 97-98 engines and the other for the PI 99-02 engine

Go to a dealer parts counter and ask to see one. Then you will know what it is supposed to look like and then you can decide where to get one or do without. Its NOT a necessary part for the engine to perform its function, but it looks nice.

 

My 97 has black cover and my 01 has black cover with red 5.4
