Got a '97 with bad leaking up-pipes (right side fell clean outta the collector). I have it all apart, but I can't get the driver's side up-pipe out. Is there a trick? I just replaced the cab bushings so the cab may have slid forward some but I couldn't see how it could slide any FARTHER back.

I got the passenger's side out, but the I can't manipulate the driver's pipe outta there to save my butt. I could message the firewall just a little to get it out, but I don't need it out that bad. I have all that I need out... just curious as to whether or not I'm missing something.

Not sure on the SD if there is a trick to it. On the OBS they come out ok. Wish I could be some help,I just did mine.....
I just did cab bushings so I don't know if I bumped the cab any... I was looking, though, and don't see how the front mounts would let me go back any farther.
This is on an OBS... doing a '97 right now. I can't get it out.
Oh! I wouldn't think the cab would've moved that much. Try taking the bottom of the pipe towards the trans and pull it down between the frame and the trans, or have you already tried this?
I'm not sure... the collar keeps hanging everything up. It looks like the pipe would fit fine but I can't seem to do anything with that danged collar in the way.

If you can't get it out any other way, maybe take the two nuts off the trans mount at the crossmember and jack the trans up, or remove the crossmember and lower it down, which ever way will give you enough room to get the pipe out.
