I've started looking in to doing the spring swap on my X. A friend told me he could get me new x-codes for $174 each and new b-codes for $185 each. Are these good prices or should I shop around some more?
I think those prices are fine, especially if you don't have to pay for shipping. You can look for used ones on CL or by checking at local shops installing lift kits and save more $. I picked up some used V's for next to nothing.
for front V codes I'd use craigslist. I bought some for $190 with add a leafs already installed, and since then I've seen about 5 more pairs within 3 hours of here for under $200. The rear springs are a lot harder to come by because most people use rear blocks to lift so they keep their rear B codes.
I priced checked with Tousley and added shipping to my house. I then contacted my local dealers. Both dealers were willing to deal with me, and I felt good about trying to keep my money locally.
