I think it was XLS not XL (at least for the Excursion)
The 2005 Ex was available in: XLS, XLT, Eddie Bauer, Limited
I've seen 1 XLS, cloth interior, front, 2nd, 3rd all bench - thus seating for 9
I've seen XLTs with both leather & cloth seats, front buckets.
But the leather seats aren't the same as on the EB or Limited.
The 2003 Ex was available in: XLT, Eddie Bauer, Limited, XLT Premium
Not sure about other years, just do a google if you need more info.
