To John: I am glad your kids are better and you were out and about. It ALWAYS feels good to smoke another car especially when it's a BMW or MB. I always do on the way to Vegas going up that bad hill past Baker. Like my wife said when we test drove our truck: "This thing takes off like a sports car" as the salesman and I felt the g's and got slammed back into the headrest. We just got back from my brother-in-laws B-day party and he was bummed I didn't show up with the truck. Time to go to bed and change the clocks. Talk to you guys tomorrow. God bless all of you and stay healthy and safe. Martin Sr.
Thanks Martin!
It was a mid 2000s 528 so it may not have been a real barn stormer but it made me feel great. I know what you mean about folks wanting you to show up in the truck. We're planning the outing for the girls' basketball team and all of them want to ride in the truck...I need a mega-multi-monster cab instead of a crew cab.

It's a great feeling Paul! I don't do it often anymore so it feels especially good. The Mustang's been gone for many years now so it's pretty neat to have something that'll haul groceries, lumber, mulch, and butt.

I don't get "the look" very often Gavin and yesterday it was just a huge, BSEG.

Good afternoon WIH gang!
Well it's been a busy day today. We went to church, came home, and I started putting together the new basketball goal we picked up yesterday. The old one was in sad shape and I got rid of it so it was time for a new one. I have no idea why these stupid things have to be so hard to put together.
I'm very mechanically inclined and never have problems putting stuff like this together but this thing tried my patience at every turn. It's together now though and the kids having been wearing themselves out shooting and playing one on one..

I saw a picture on eBay of a guy that added another 2 doors and he had a 8 door F-350. He must of had to chop up 2 other crew cabs. I'm going to lok at some trailers today at a private party lot and then take the family for lunch by the coast even though it's a chilly 74 degrees down here. I'll post some pictures tonight. Take care guys.
I'm going to be trailer shopping this spring too. I need a new one for hauling mulch and odds & ends.
It actually got up to 70* here today which is outstanding. Sadly, it looks like it's going to be short lived as it's supposed to be in the 50s and rainy tomorrow and Tuesday. And it's not going to be out of the low 60s for the rest of the week either.
If this was last yr, Matt was in a Ford..........oh well........... I'm talking my son into a Fusion AWD instead of a Focus..........ins will be less too
Well it happened.....well sort of. We just got back from going out to dinner with some very good friends. I ate too much and now I'm going to have to hit it double hard in the gym tomorrow morning.
How is everybody tonight? Looks like it's been kind of dead in here tonight.
Well.......it did happen today. We were down in TN for the day running a few errands and just enjoying the day...me, the wifey, and the kiddies. We were on our way back when a BMW 528 came flying up next to me and started driving like a real A-hole. He passed me twice and cut me off once. At one particular traffic light, I'd had enough. I watched the light on the other side as it started to cycle through yellow and then to red. By that time, I had already begun building a LOT of boost. The light turned green, I stood down on the GO pedal and lifted off the brake in one fluid motion.....I started having flashbacks of some mischief I used to get into years ago with a hopped up 5.0 Mustang. My kids were smacking their knees yelling for me to smoke him and my wife was even cheering the big white demon on. I SMOKED his *** by about five car lengths at the next light.
He pulled up next to me, stopped, gave me a thumbs up, smiled and turned off into a gas station at the intersection.
I'm sorry.....I just couldn't help myself. I'm usually EXTREMELY well behaved but today it was in the upper 60s, I had the moonroof open all the way, the windows open, and some Black Label Society playing on the radio. Good day to smoke a Bimmer.
Best part was that the transmission actually stayed together.
Great story John, you know it was the right thing to do when even your wife was cheering you on.
I did the same thing to a young guy in a black Dodge a couple years ago that was displaying the same behavior. Little did he know my 6.4 had the DPF removed and I was running a programmer. Needless to say he got his a-- handed to him and didn't want to play anymore.
