NICE, I didn't even know about that one........

I would love to get out of town, but with little kids and no money we will be in spruce grove for a while. At least we can get out on the weekends.

Well it happened...

Lots of city driving today with slow traffic everywhere so have been driving it slow and easy all day.
So on my way home from work after entering the highway I noticed the torque converter had not locked by the time I was in 4th gear so I thought what the heck, engine is at OpTemp, soot clean out time; pedal to the floor!

Message Center: DO DA DO
Me: Oh crap...

Turns out, 800 MTE on DEF.
False alarm. Carry on.
(I've never seen the DEF message before on my truck.)

I have been running the tank low on purpose to see what happens.
37,000+ miles in and had to let the computer alert me about something for a change.
It just had to happen at the second I decided to "goof off" otherwise it wouldn't have spooked me.

lol - I suppose sadly I've never done that with my truck.
Should have done that when I had the Conti's.

Don't forget to turn of the "traction nanny"

Kep, did you have to reboot the truck to clear the DEF massage?

Happy thanksgiving gig, have a good weekend!
I am taking tomorrow off and we are headed to lethbridge to seee my parents, about 1,000 kM round trip.

I will be needing new tires pretty soon so a big burnout is in order. But not for another couple of months

Have a good one!
