It was fun even after! If you look close, there is a Grizzly behind me. He had a WARN winch! I now have a warn winch too! (had a Viper, or Venom, or some other junk before) I think I would rip the Fourwheeler in half, before I break this winch.
@Adam - The Grizzly must be camo, I can barely see it.
Wazzup y'all. I'm home again. I gotta say that towing a decent sized trailer with the 6.2 gasser completely sucks. Really, that thing is a turd. I could not maintain 70 mph on flat ground in 6th gear. I could floor it in 5th gear and it would take 12 seconds to get from 65 to 70 on flat ground. It sucks, no ifs ands or butts.
I don't know what to do Gerry. When I get my truck back I will see what it's like, if it is reliable again and all. I have to understand what my warranty status is, I don't expect it to change.
I might test drive a new ram just to see and keep my perspective honest. It's hard to say that our trucks are the best out there if I don't check out the other ones now and then.
Have to see what's going on financially too. Our books are a mess right now with how poor last quarter was, I'm in the hole pretty large just to cover payroll and expenses over the last four months. A nice new F350 SRW sure would be nice though!
That's true Joel, it doesn't hurt to try the other brand just to compare.......or rent one for a few days ,.............sorry to hear yer books & yer money is tight these days too.......
I think once you get yer truck back with the redesigned motor you'll be happy with it again...
I haven't been able to "monitor and post" since getting the rig on the road.
I had 1300 mi. round trip last week to GA and all went well. My DEF fault didn't come back after clearing itself, so keep your fingers crossed. I'm headed to PA on Wed. then onto CA the following Thurs.; WISH ME LUCK!!!
Well, I went to visit my camper on Sunday... we had to drop off a few things. Actually, I bought a step cover from Walmart Saturday and wanted to see if it was going to work.
We took the opportunity to drop off a few things for our (short) trip next weekend. I have to say, the camper looked kind of lonely, sitting there in that fenced in lot. It was almost as if it wanted me to hook up the truck and drag it off to some faraway, well secluded campground. I could almost hear the slide out motor whining "Open me up! Take us away from here! We miss you..."
Well, next Friday we head out for a couple of days and that'll probably be it for the season. Apparently, the campsite we're going to really goes all out for Halloween. I'll take some pictures and post them here. Anyone ever done any winter camping?
BTW, the step cover worked pretty well. It's a rectangular piece of carpet with eye holes in it and some spring hooks to keep the tension on it. I only bought one to see if it would work.
