If a dome light is worth $150, I guess a heater could be worth $400???

There is a big difference between an asking price and a selling price! It is from AZ so it's likely to be in very good shape tho.
I see extremely high asking prices for things I collect on ebay all the time. I sometimes send the seller a message saying that their price is far above market, but I hope they get it because I'll immediately list the better ones I have. I'll put it on my watch list just to see what happens. I'll sometimes receive notification that it is relisted several more times either for lower prices or never selling. If by chance it does sell, I just may sell off my extras.

A set of F-2/3 long boards sold, that's SOLD, over the weekend for almost $1000. They were in Iowa, not Arizona. Caused me to gather together my junk sets to see what it would take to straighten and patch a pair together. It again shows just how much easier, and in ways cheaper, it is to do the little trucks where repop body parts are a phone call away. Stu

we still have all those dumb watch us rebuild a car in 2 days and spend goofy money for parts , and barret jackson itis , and mecum auto plague , on the tube . so all the peeps who see an old relic or parts and some of us who know better , get it in their heads everything is worth a kazzillion bucks if it's old , and in particular for a popular vehicle such as our trucks ......

There's seller in Florida who lists Buick parts at outrageous prices, she's the subject of a lot of comments from the Buick guys. His prices are usually 3-4 times the value most think they should be but she does sell her parts. She usually reposts her items over and over but eventually she snags a buyer. I figure the guys that do buy her parts are probably professional care restorers working on a customer's car and are willing to pay the exorbitant prices rather than wasting time, which is money, trying to find the correct part at a lower price.

There's another guy in northern Wisconsin who usually lists, IMO, total junk for outrageous prices. Last year he had a '48-50 panel truck, without an engine, that was so rotted out I wouldn't want to strap it on top of my trailer for fear that it would fall apart as I was pulling it down the road. He started the bidding at $4000. He has other parts and cars that he overpriced. Most never sell but he keeps listing.

Hmmm... $1k for F2-F3 running boards?? I have a pair that are solid but dented on the sides. Nothing that can't be repaired. Maybe I should throw them up on Ebay to see what happens. My luck, they'll probably sell at the opening bid.

His were dented on the outer lips too, he said "easy repair". Is that like "ran when parked"? Stu

I took a quick, rough inventory of all the Bonus Built and Buick parts I have above my office and in my shop and compared them to the prices sellers are asking for the same parts I've recently seen on eBay. I'm happy to report I will no longer have to work and will be closing my business and moving to Florida in the next month, as soon as I find buyers for all my parts.

Thank you, thank you very much.
