Dana crate axles

I saw a small article on Dana crate axles in a magazine and wondered if anyone had inquired if they are making the 78-79 front 60s again. If so what do they cost?

Here is a link

Those look like straight up Dana fronts. They can probably cut the tubes to whatever length you need, and then you'd just weld the appropriate spring perches in to make them fit whatever you want to put them under.

So yes. You'd be paying a lot for them, but you can probably get them to make one to fit.

Notice the tubes don't have any bracketry installed on them (spring perches/suspension link mounts/swaybar/etc)

They also use a unit hub bearing instead of the serviceable tappered rollers and ball joints instead of kingpins IMO two good reasons to find a 78-79. Bet they are $$$
