Dana Help!
Do any of you guys know anything about the Dana 80's used under the 90's C3500HD Chevys, they were cab and chassis trucks, and are the 10 lug rear ends with disk brakes. I bought one for my High Boy (Yes I am getting adapters for the front to run 19.5 10 lug rims on the front) And I want to find out all I can about the. mainly how strong the axles are. Which has got me confused, it has a inspection plate, which you take off and bam its a big teethed setup that looks like I could put a CAT C17 souped up to 800HP and 2000+ tq and it would hold. I just need info going to be starting swapping it under the highboy here soon.
