Dana 44 outers

I was wondering if I could replace my spindles and brakes on my 78 F150 with ones from a 3/4 ton with a Dana 44. I would like the bolt pattern to be the same front and rear since I am planning on putting a Dana 70 in the rear. Less hassle only needing one spare!

Yes. I did that, using the spindles out. You don't need to swap the knuckles as long as you use the 5 lug spindles from ford. Chevy is different.

One thing to look at though is if you are running 15 inch rims. There will probably be clearance problems on the big dual piston calipers.

I am planning on running 16 or 16.5" rims with the Staun internal beadlock. So basically as long as I get the ford spindles and brakes for the f250 I will be okay?

Yeah, or you will need chevy knuckles to match the chevy spindles. I think ford is the only one that uses the 5 lug spindle. I used parts off a 79 F250 on a 77 F150 axle when I did my 4x4 conversion. Complete bolt on.
