Mornin' all, have a 65 with 352 in it and not sure if it is stock to this truck or not. I'm hoping at some point to add a/c, maybe ps also. With that said, it has the small dampener on it with the single pulley groove and I can't find an extra pulley to bolt on. Did they make them for this or can I use the later style solid balancer on this engine? I have an extra pulley for these. Thanks for any help. John
My 65 352 has a balancer with a small pulley built on. I don't know if you can get an additional 2-pulley set that bolts to that. Mine has a 3-pulley set that goes over the smaller pulley and bolts on the the balancer. Timing marks are on the balancer and also on the edge of the first pulley, since with this system the damper marks are covered up.
Beginning in 68 Ford uses a fatter balancer and a shorter timing pointer to match it. I think the Professional products balancer is close to the same thing. It comes with a pulley but if you want to use three pulleys, I am not sure which ones to recommend. 1968 had about ten pulleys for a FE.
Thanks, but can I use that solid balancer on mine? I think I know where one is, but understand some of the fe's had a different system to balance them. John

As I appreciate it all FE balancers are balance-neutral. The only differences in them is where the timing marks are and how the pulleys fit.
