My truck is about a year old, the Jukebox is about half full and never updated the SYNC.
The radio stopped working once, but has been fine since restarting the vehicle.
So is there any advantage to downloading updates to a USB stick and installing them or just leave it alone?
I like to keep my laptop updated but heard of odd SYNC behavior after updates, so am reluctant to mess with it just for having had 1 small problem with radio.
Aint real broke, so fix it or not?
If you're satisfied with how it's working, IMHO you should leave it alone.
IIRC from reading the Syncmyride.com Owner-to-Owner forums, the GEN 2 (which I think is what you have) updates have been 'sketchy'.
If you're willing to do the research, you could verify your installed version and then peruse the forums to see if there are issues with any available updates.
I had a TSB on the Sync mic a few months ago and they installed the most recient version of the Sync software. The new microphone made a world of difference, however, all Ive noticed in the software update was the text on the display seems to be slightly different.
