I'm sure you meant clean and resealed the IPR, have you tried unplugging the ICP sensor and seeing if that resolves the issue? I know you said no oil in the connector, but it would help eliminate it.

Do you have a way to view ICP and IPR duty cycle? After ICP my thought is leaning towards IPR, usually surging idle or longer starts when hot, lean towards the IPR.

In the live data tab select IPR duty cycle and psi. Mine does this too but a new ICP, harness, and IPR did not correct it.

Use that AE to check the Engine Oil Temp Output to check if the EOT sensor is any good.

Here's a cut and paste of something I just posted earlier today.

A very important sensor is the EOT (Engine Oil Temp).
I has to work properly for the PCM to accurately adjust SOI (Start of Injection) and fueling.

Select Engine Oil Temp Output on AE. Check before you start the engine and after the vehicle has completly cooled down. Compare it to AIT
(Air Inake Temp). The readings should be very close if both sensors are working properly, and should closely equal underhood temp. Go for a test drive. EOT should slowy rise. At full operating temp EOT should be around 200° give or take 5°. These are my temps on a temperate day, not extremely hot or cold and a 195° t-stat.

That my friend is an excellent point. I was just talking to a couple of diesel mechanics about this on my truck this weekend. Gonna check it out when I get home.

could that sensor being bad also make my truck high idle in cold weather even after truck has came to operating temps... cause sometimes in cold weather i will sit and let it run a while after driving a good distance on the interstate or washing the truck in the cold with it running and it will start to high idle like its dead cold but i kinda like that lol

That is certainly a possibility. If the EOT sensor doesn't accurately read oil temps the PCM is going to do some erractic things. It might even be operating the GPR when it is not needed. Oil temp plays a role in many decisions the PCM makes.

Don't have the part number.

Keep in mind oil wll drain from the reservoir when you remove the sensor.
Either evacuate the reservoir or work damn fast.

Must be something in the air. Mine just started this Saturday night. While warmed up I'm seeing 2100 psi and up to 44% duty cycle while cranking. Idle straightens itself out but only gives me attitude during cranking and idle when warm.
