yes im sure...im 4th owner of my 75 250 and im trying to find out what i paid for. the previous owner didn't really give any details on the truck only that he had it parked in his garage after he bought it. the axle tags are a bit rusty but im pretty sure those are the numbers i can make out. What does the D5T A-L mean?? Thanks for responding, i appreciate your help.....
D = 1970 (the decade)
5 = Fifth year of the decade (1975)
T = Truck
A = Engineering Component, Truck Division
Dunno what L is because..... I found the Bill of Material number (608583-9). I didn't find it the first go-round cuz Dana's search function only goes back to 1978.......It's on sheet (page) number of this document: http://www2.dana.com/pdf/X510-SD.pdf

.. it's strange that it has a tag. Dana axles typically have the numbers stamped. Nonetheless...
