bogs down in gear

My 76 ford van idles great and engine will rev up fine out of gear. As soon as I put it in gear the engine bogs down and will die with any acceleration. I have put a nos carb on it and it ran fine for a couple of weeks. I just put in a new rotor and cap. No help. I've had this van for years with no problems. Any ideas on what the problem is?

'Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere.

BUT, what engine/trans combo are you working with and how is it equipped - AC, smog equipment, EGR, etc....??

Stock 351W with a C6 trans. Standard smog for that year. I checked all vac. hoses and connections. I have not used a tester on the vac. yet. It does have an EGR. Have not tested it yet.

I'm back. I replaced all the vacuum lines, timing is dead-on at 12 degrees, vacuum sits between 9 and 11 lbs. will come up at higher rpm's. Idle will not quite smooth out. Once engine is warmed up it turns to crap. Step on gas and it shuts down. No EGR, only smog stuff is valves on air cleaner and a "can". New carb., cap & rotor. Engine will run if the choke plate is held almost closed.??? When cold or I manually close the choke plate the engine starts right up. Call me frustrated.
