302 ????

Ok im back guys I took the head off my 302 and the #8 cylinder had rust in it where water sat . Clean the rust out but will this hurt the rings

shouldnt unless there is a ridge that they will hit. if so hone it off and go with it. we usually just fill the cylinders with diesel let it set a couple days and hand crank it over a few times and fire it up. but that was on the 73-79 motors also
