Thata weird I thought they were original. Learn something new. I still have to figure out one vacuum line on the intake. There's 2 larger one and 2 smaller ones. But one of the larger ones is missing a hose or cap?

They are original. I was only saying that I don't need an original when I've already purchased a better flowing aftermarket mustang intake.
Sorry for the confusion.
I figured I didn't know the mustang intakes would work. ( stored in my brain housing group for later ) Did you have any issues hooking up vacuum lines and throttle cables? What was your performance increase or was it worth it? And did you get a used mustang intake or a new after market one?
My truck is a '96 so it is already MAF.
It takes a bit of custom intake piping but not too difficult.
It's an aftermarket typhoon intake.
I'm adding all kinds of power adders so power increase on just the intake would be hard to single out.
I don't think a mustang intake on a stock truck engine would yield much if any extra power.

I bet it would be hard to see an improvement in performance, but I would venture to say that there is noticable increase in air flow? I am going to look into this.
I am thinking about getting these wheels. What do you think:
I got the truck home today. Its a 90 F150, looks good. Motor turns over freely nothing has any water it them. The only thing I have found so far is that the D/S exhaust manifold is cracked pretty bad, and the fuel lines under that connect to the rails were cut. So I am on the hunt for so used parts. The plan right now is to put the motor trany transfer case back in and hook everything up and see if it will fire or what. Want to now what the fuel problem was that made this guy pull the engine. Weirdos. Oh well here it goes.
If you wanted a good temporary fix for the Exhaust manifold, try some JB weld... it really works wonders
I thought about JB weld but since I had the motor out I ordered a new manifold and installed it. The motor and trany and transfer is all installed and everything is hooked up, all except some vacuum lines that need to be replaced. All in all I am about to fire it up soon (or attempt to). Next on list is to diagnose fuel delivery problem (at least see if there is one the PO said he had one).
I like those. I would make sure they are clear coated. I have a set of Mickey Tompsons similar to those that are natural finish and I'm forever polishing them.
I though about some summit shorty headers but I want to run it a while while I build a nice 351w for it then I will get the shortys. As far as the wheels go I am thinking about having the ones that are on it polished up or for about $200 I can get them chrome faced. I don't know. The wheels on it are similar looking.
It's been awhile since I was on here or updated things. I had surgery on my hand about a month ago and have been nursing it back to health. Long road ahead.
The other night my Chevy (which may explain what happened next) caught on fire. So I have been, with the help of my dad and buddy, getting this beast going. The PO said there was a fuel issue which was not the case. I had to replace the coil, pick up coil and control module and this beast fired off. Yesterday and today I have replaced the NSS, plugs, ignition switch, speed sensor, fuel filter, pcv and brakes. I have installed the drive lines. Got all the steering parts, and ball joints, and fluids. I went the the junkyard and scored a water pump pulley, tranny dipstick tube and exhaust cross over. A few things I have to get are the seatbelt anchors (female ends and middle seat belts) For the exhaust I am going to do a dual in single out ,probably flowmaster, I have a filter and pan gasket for the tranny. As far as the interior goes everything seems to work except the window motors and locks.
That's about it for today I should have some more pictures hopefully tomorrow.
For someone recovering from hand surgery you sure have done a lot of work. I just hope you're following your therapy as you should. If the window motors require replacement, go with Dorman units, they are amanzingly good. I've owned my replacement for several months now and it has been great: http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-742-250...pr_product_top
