Same here on the temps... Mine is running at 190 now vs 194ish

I noticed a couple things in that video but I'm going to keep quiet for now. But if you want to see a Ford master tech's perspective on the guy do a search for "Powerstrokehelp" and user "Cheezit". At the bottom make sure to check "posts" instead of "threads". Cheezit loves debunking his videos.

O btw you left off the fact the guys a DB. imo but ymmv
See THIS POST.

If I remember right both M-chan68 and Cheezit are master diesel technicians at Ford dealers and they work on these trucks every day. Both spend hours here on FTE giving out free advice during their free time and really have no axe to grind with Bill Hewett.

Now don't get me wrong, lots of Bill's videos are informative. But IMHO he doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. Of course lots of folks say that about me as wel...

If you read the reviews on those Stant caps from Advance Auto they are not very good. Apparantly they are very cheap and break easily. I would try to go oem if mine was bad.

The fact remains that the cap I just took off my truck did not hold pressure,, it was less than 1 year old. What choice do we have but to go after market at this point.

Now this is the ONE thing I'm taking Bill Hewitt at his word at...the fact that the cap was changed to a better design sometime in 2009. The cap that's $5.88 is the one I pulled from the 2011 6.7L truck which appears to use the same cap.

This should be the improved design, no? Of course if Bill is wrong about this it won't be the first time.

I really don't care about all the political crap that may be surfacing here, the fact remains that we own trucks that may or may not have a coolant issue and all we want is a solution. I don't give two ****ing ****s who can solve this issue but to the person that does,, big huggs from me.
