Howdy

Im fairly new to this forum, but not to forums in general. I recently picked up a 65 f100 from my uncle for 500 bucks. It has the 352 motor in it, manual transmission. Him and my cousin had started a full restore but got about 1/2 way through and my cousin jumped wayyyyy ahead and tore so much off the truck at one time that they got lost in the project. So now I have the truck, with no fenders mounted, hood off, doors off, some minor body damage, but in overall pretty good shape. The interior needs some pretty good help, but nothing I cant handle.

As for other projects/rides I have a 1992 bronco, that is having problems, and a 1997 F350 gas motor, that needs some tranny attention but in overall great shape.

I suppose I will start a build thread once I get moving on this project. I want to get the bronco back to normal again before I plan anything else though.

Welcome to FTE!! We hear a lot about people who tear in to fast, and end up with a basket case. I know of at least 3 times recently new guys said they were going to tear into a truck the way you describe, and everyone tells them, go slower, and take your time. Make a drivable truck, and get to enjoy it a little before you tear it down. Many a truck has been lost to people tearing down too far, and losing interest.

Hopefully we can help you once you get to it.

Thanks. Like I said Ive got a bronco (that is ALWAYS a project. Its an offroad beast) and the F350, so Im not afraid to tear into some of this stuff, but I will need to take it slow and steady. Its got a 352 in it, which I know nothing about. Manual tranny, and other than that it just needs some help.

I will do about 95% of the work myself. I was kinda thinking about chopping it up and making a rat rod from it, but then I decided its too nice for that. I really want a rat rod in the future.

I have to tear the motor of the bronco down to beyond the heads this weeked/next week, and once those are sent out I may start on the F100.

Nice thing is, that if I just register the 65, put the doors and hood on it, its ready to drive. With some love of course
