I have a 92 f-150 I6 that kinda stumbles now and then, like it's going to stall. It doesn't matter if I'm idling, accelerating, decelerating or doing highway speeds. The engine seems to miss for a second the everything is fine. Does this sound like spark plugs and/or wires or is thatto simple of a fix. also when I'm driving I can feel the truck surging and slowing, not alot but enough to be noticed. There's 175,000 miles on it, I've replaced the TPS and the fuel filter. Any ideas?
Sounds like it could be the MAP sensor. That's about the same symptoms my Bronco had when my MAP went south. Although I can't remember an exact price, they're not very expensive....

It sounds like the EGR is acting up. I had the same symtoms with my
91 300 six. Thanks to this forum I learned about the restrictor
plate fix for the EGR. This involves fabricating a plate to place
between the EGR and the intake with a 1/8" hole drilled in the plate.
It fixed my rough running and missing problem and my engine has
never run better. It's worth a try because the fix is CHEAP. Be sure
to buy two egr gaskets, one for each side of the restrictor plate.
MAP stands for manifold absolute pressure or something fairly close to that. When mine went out, the truck would not idle at all and would cut out as it was driving down the road...
On my v8's the map sensor is on the passenger side firewall. It's about the size of a pack of playing cards and has 1 electrial connection and 1 thin vacuum hose running to it. It is held on by a screw on either side.
