Vibration
I took the truck to the dealership and they said it was the rear end bearings. They claimed that you could move the drive shaft with your hand where it went into the rear end.
So they called back and said that all the parts inside the rear end were like new and that only the bearings needed replacing. Well a week later and after paying a $1,000 bucks they claim it's ready to go. The tech says that it still has a vibration, but that a caliper need turning and that the vibration is not related to the rear end issue. Well my questions is that it does have some vibration while braking, but today I started noticing the vibration while starting off and while slowing down even without touching the breaks.
If you have even hauled a heavy load or towed a good bit of weight and notice the driveshaft vibration when you first start off, it is a lot like that.
Also to point out that the 100,000 mile warranty doesn't cover the rear end, it's good for 65,000 miles, I have 70,000 on the truck.
Any help?
Also try something simple like rotating or balencing the tires.
A sticky caliper perhaps could lead to some of the symtoms but sounds like you have ruled that out.
