clutch problem

have 93 f350 4x4, had clutch assembly changed, (everything new) now the clutch engages about 1-2 inches from floor, took truck to dealer and tech said that, is normal, before having clutch assembly changed clutch was releasing about 2 inches from top. when clutch was changed we also changed passenger side motor mount, thanks for any help

With the clutch on the floor, does it go into gear easy when you are stopped and the engine running? Does is shift easily?

If so, you're good.

Any noises while idling in neutral? Any noises under power in any gear?

If nothing other than 'normal', you're good.

thanks, and yes it does go in gear easily, no grinding, however in neutral with engine running you can hear the TO bearing making a little noise, and thanks for reply again

thanks 85e150six4mtod, with clutch on the floor engine running it shifts normal (no grinding), throw out bearing makes a little noise that goes away when clutch is depressed
