clutch problems
I recently bought a 96 explorer 4.0 5spd nd its kind of a project, i know for a fact it needs a new clutch, but when i start it with the car in 1st gear, clutch pedal down nd i rev the engine you can feel the clutch pedal push back at you as the enginr revs. Thought this was weird just wondering what that could be a sign of. Any noise without shift attempts? while idling clutch released? depress clutch while idling any noise? don't touch the shifter while checking for any noises. Is the clutch slipping? I only ask cause you said It needs a new clutch.
