AUX audio input
Sorry if this has been discussed before but I've looked and hav'nt found any information. Have a 07 Escape and the radio is equipped with an internal cd 6 disc changer. It is SAT ready and has an AUX button. I want to add an input for my mp3 player. I dont want to get an FM transmitter, have one and its not good to say the least.
Would a pie frd04 aux work? Please help. Thanks.

I believe that is the one you want, same thing I used in my 06 Mustang, worked like a champ. I used it for iPod and SAT radio in. Plugs right in the back and I tapped off the power point for power. PIE's wesite shows the 03 actually.

Depending on what your budget is, and if they are having a sale, a new HU might be a decent choice from crutchfield. I replaced mine for 120 out the door, and the sound quality was a huge improvement. Plus the native iPhone support has meant a much better listening experience, and lets me now take calls with my bluetooth headset while driving. Not as fancy as my Fiance's sync, but its close enough.
