On my way to work my truck died! No sputtering or anything as if I turned the key off. It doesn't even act as if it wants to start! There is no smoke at all out of the exhaust I'm guessing no fuel being pushed through the injectors. I figured it would be the cps the way it died. Bought a new one from Ford. No dice. I checked my fuses none blowin. Unplugged the fuel bowl heater for the Hell of it and put a new fuse in (even though 30 wasn't blowin). No bueno. I look at my icp . Pretty topped off with oil. I replaced with a used one that was dry. No change. Hpop resevour was a little low so I added oil. Still nothing. I'm lucky enough to have another superduty hanging around to try the idm and that didn't change a thing! I've got the block heater plugged up. And its on the trickle charge since I've been turning her over so much! I'm stuck! Yall always seem to have the answers when I search this forum so if there is something I'm missing please run it by me! I have a 2000 F-350 I have a six position bully dog chip. Oh yeah I covered my intake with a gas soaked rag and it ran for a few seconds! So I'm pretty sure fuel or Injector spray is my issue. Thanks for reading!
Somebody smarter than I'm will be along soon. The first thing they'll suggest (after the things you tried) will be to disconnect the chip and try it. Sometimes the chip can get hosed up and most times it's easier to get back to square one without it. If you had codes that would help as well. Hang in here and let's get some folks involved.way
Can you hear the fuel pump when you switch it on? Do you have fuel coming into the bowl? Any way to check fuel pressure?

Reason: addition
If you open the drain valve on the filter housing does fuel poor out?Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn the key on?
Do not fire that thing with starting fluid,it could run away with itself.

We do see chips fail as well so this is great info too.
Thanks for replying so soon! This has been my favorite forum by far! I did drain my fuel bowl and its filled up three or four times now. Haha I've been watching the $ hit the drain Pan a few times. Haha. I've listened to the fuel pump under the truck and it sounds pretty good no weird pulsing or sounds. I'm gonna remove the chip now! Kind of feel dumb for not thinking of that!
Does the WTS light come on? If so then the PCM has power. If not then there is a blown fuse or bad relay. Did you check fuses under dash and under hood? There are fuses and relays under hood for PCM and IDM.
If you have some help put a finger on the relays to feel them operate when the key is cycled from OFF to ON. You can swap the Blower Motor Relay for the PCM or IDM relay.
Under Hood and Under Dash Fuses and Relays. '99-'01
Awesome diagram! Ive checked all fuses are good. And the relays are making a buzzing feeling
The relays shouldn't buzz but click once when they operate and click once when they release. Does the blower motor relay buzz?
EDIT : FYI When you are looking at wiring diagrams for a '99 to '01 Power Distribution Box is Under Hood and Junction Box Fuse/Relay Panel is Under Dash.

I didn't really describe it well. They feel like they click when the.key is turned. Oh I forgot to mention I have been without a wait to start light.for years now I did a gpr led mod I found on here so I know when the gpr is cyclingive checked the bulb in the instrument cluster. Bulb is good but it quit coming on 5 years ago

The WTS light has nothing to do with the GPR. The WTS light is just a timer. It makes a good diagnostic tool to determine if the PCM has power. Without a functioning WTS light it is difficult to determine if the PCM has power.
When checking the fuses did you use a VOM, or a test light, or pull them out to look at them? I other words hoe did you determine they were good?
I was just trying to figure out a way to determine if the PCM had power. Since the fuel pump runs and if the GPR operates and they are both controlled by the PCM then we can assume the PCM has power. BUT I hate to asumme anything.
Right now I am out of suggestions other than hook up a scan tool that will work on a 7.3.
Put the meter on them, especially number 30. Sometimes they look good but are bad, don't ask me how I know ! I chased one for hours that "looked good". That would be wonderful if it was 30. But.......... 30 ought to be good if you got fuel sounds etc. I'd check with meter anyway. Good call Robin.
