So I just got my gauges (35PSI boost, 1500* EGT, 100PSI Fuel) from Glowshift (I wanted ISSPro, but money was a big factor this time) and they don't really have the most explanatory instructions... I got the 3 gauge wiring kit as well, so that makes it easier to keep all the wires nice and neat, but i'm not really sure where to wire them all to and what not... so my question is if someone who has done the install could provide a write-up or at least let me know what they chose for power sources. I'm trying to figure out where to set up my fuel pressure sensor as well. Thanks in advance!
yeah, that's about all the instructions said too... but what i'm wondering is did you splice them in to the fuse box? is there an easy way to figure out what's always hot/only key hot? where's the best place to put the EGT sensor? where do i put the fuel pressure sensor?
Headlights for alway hot
Radio for key on hot
EGT probe goes in the driver side manifold. Under the truck where manifold an uppipe meet has a nice spot to drill and tap
Fuel pressure will replace the Schrader valve. Youll need a 90* fitting but I don't know the sizes
Hey, I just installed the same glowshift gauges a couple of weeks ago. First off, the 3 gauge wiring kit is a waste of money. It's only for wiring the sensors as the wiring for the gauge power/lights is already included and the fuel pressure sender is the only sensor that needs wiring. The boost gauge uses tubing and the egt probe comes with stainless braided wiring. The 7.3l fuel pressure adapter is also a waste of money because the sensor will thread right in where the schrader vavle is. As already stated, use a 90* fitting to thread it in. Otherwise, you have to remove the engine lift bracket (which is what I did because I didn't think about the 90* fitting at the time).
I coupled all three gauges together so that I only had one set of wires coming out of the pod.
