ok i have a 95 f250, i want to change the gear reatio in both ft and rear axels but i have no clue what they are, i know the rear is a full floating axel is it the 10.25? and the ft is it a dana 50? i didnt see any tags on eather but know they have 3.55 gears in them
Correct, the rear is a Sterling 10.25" and the front (assuming its stock TTB) is a Dana 50. The axle code for the rear will be on the sticker in the drivers door jamb.
the 99 and newer axle uses a different bolt pattern than the 97 an older trucks.
easiest way to tell what ifs axle you have is by the front locking hub size. the D44 ifs has a locking hub slightly smaller than the mounting flange.
the D-50 ifs/D-60 solid axle has a locking hub that is the same size as the mounting flange
